Tra un paio di settimane inizieranno le riprese di Superman: Legacy, il nuovo film dedicato all’Uomo d’Acciaio che verrà scritto e diretto da James Gunn e che darà il via al “nuovo” DC Universe.

Superman: Legacy
Diretto da James Gunn, Superman: Legacy uscirà al cinema l’11 luglio 2025 (USA).
Nel cast David Corenswet (Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman), Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner/Lanterna Verde), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho), Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), María Gabriela de Faría (Angela Spica/The Engineer), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen).
Ispirato alla run a fumetti “All-Star Superman” di Grant Morrison e Frank Quitely, questo film avrà l’onere (e l’onore) di presentare una nuova versione dell’Uomo d’Acciaio dopo più di dieci anni dal suo ultimo film stand-alone. La storia si focalizzerà sul tentativo di Superman di trovare un equilibrio tra il suo retaggio culturale Kryptoniano e la sua infanzia da umano; sarà la “rappresentazione della verità, la giustizia ed il sogno Americano – l’incarnazione della gentilezza, in un mondo che vede questa qualità come antiquata”.
Superman: Legacy fa parte del Capitolo 1 del DC Universe, Gods and Monsters.
